The WanderWomxn crew took a quick weekend trip to Atlanta for a concert (Khruangbin is the TRUTH!) and one of the highlights for us was a Saturday afternoon at Ponce City Market.
Ponce City Market is an indoor/outdoor food hall and shopping complex with a variety of cuisine options like ramen, Mediterranean (which was BANGING), seafood, Indian, Cuban and yes, chicken and biscuits. There’s also lots of drinks stalls like one with ice pops and cocktails which was popular with groups of friends and parents with toddlers.
We didn’t check out much of the shopping but we did do some damage at the Artists and Fleas Market featuring some really fly local vendors. There were gorgeous handmade jewelry pieces, local art prints, vintage clothes (I’m obsessed with my new 80’s leather purse), and all sorts of natural smell good body products!
But our favorite spot was Bar Vegan. We didn’t eat anything but the drinks were strong and the DJ was on point! It definitely had a party vibe and was full of cute Black folks celebrating birthdays, watching football and just enjoying the weekend. We legit didn’t want to leave but we didn’t want to miss our concert! And there’s a whole rooftop adult arcade that we missed. Trust we will be spending more time there the next time we visit ATL.
