WanderWomxn is a travel agency and event consulting firm connecting travelers with cultural and sustainable adventures. We specialize in working with Black women; and women and gender expansive people of color, with the understanding that our identities impact our travel desires and experiences.
Custom Itineraries
If you’re planning a trip and looking for some guidance on where to stay, eat, play, shop and relax, let WanderWomxn create a curated itinerary just for you!
We will tailor it to your needs, wishes and budget with a focus on supporting locally owned small businesses, especially those owned by Black people, people of color and LGBTQIA people so you can feel comfortable and safe to be you. These include suggestions for specific destinations to visit, accommodations, activities, restaurants, and more. We can tell you where to go and what to do to fully immerse yourself in a location’s culture.

Event Consulting
If you’re planning a trip, conference, staff meeting, retreat or any other group trip in New Orleans, WanderWomxn can help you find venues, entertainment and other vendors that are locally owned and operated. We can also connect you with local artists and native New Orleanian cultural bearers to create more authentic and immersive experiences.
Our collaborator, Tami Fairweather, is a veteran communications, events, and media relations consultant with 20+ years of experience organizing events and industry gatherings in the international sustainable tourism space. Based in New Orleans, she specializes in sourcing the best locally-owned suppliers and experiences that aren’t readily found on the first page of search engine results, resulting in more authentic, culturally immersive travel experiences that support the local economy, culture, and minority-owned businesses while minimizing both tourism leakage and negative environmental impacts.
