I had the distinct honor and pleasure of being a guest on The Maverick Show, a dope podcast for digital nomads and world travelers, hosted by my friend Matthew Bowles. We met at Nomadness Fest in September 2023 and vibed about cultural travel and conscious tourism, and 90s Hip-Hop (two of my favorite subjects!). The conversation got me thinking a lot about why WanderWomxn is so important to me and why we need to make sure that women of color, Black and Brown gender expansive folks are heard when it comes to travel storytelling. Our perspectives, voices and lived experiences truly matter.

I loved being able to dive into some of topics dear to my heart like travel writing as a part of my master plan to tell uplifting stories of Black and Brown folks, and contribute to narrative shifts the honor the fullness of who we are. We chatted about burlesque, one of my forever loves, along with my favorite travel destinations especially Haiti and my heritage trip.
